Care for every working body
Life places demands on all of us. Long hours sitting at a desk, physically demanding work, regular exercise, parenting, commuting, and everyday stress can all contribute to tension, aches and restricted movement.
At Southampton Soft Tissue Therapy, I provide personalised massage and soft tissue therapy tailored to your individual body, goals and lifestyle.
Whether you're an office worker with persistent headaches, neck and shoulder tension, a tradesperson managing the demands of physical work, or an athlete looking to support training and recovery, treatment is focused on helping you move and feel at your best.
What is Soft Tissue Therapy?
Soft tissue therapy is a clinical, hands-on treatment focused on the assessment, manipulation and rehabilitation of the body’s soft tissues - muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia.
It combines traditional massage techniques such as use of gliding strokes or kneading with deep tissue manipulation using more dynamic techniques such as Soft Tissue Release and Muscle Energy Technique to target specific musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain, and movement dysfunctions.
Massage and soft tissue therapy helps to reduce pain, alleviate muscle tightness, joint stiffness, and postural strain with an overall goal of improving range of motion and increase overall flexibility.

What to Expect
Clinical Assessment & Treatment Plan
We start by discussing your symptoms, daily activities, and medical history, followed by an assessment of your posture and joint range of motion. This allows me to identify which muscles and tissues are restricting your movement, and establish the goals for our session.
Tailored Hands-On Treatment
Using a blend of traditional massage and more dynamic soft tissue techniques (like Soft Tissue Release and Muscle Energy Technique), I adapt the pressure and style entirely to your needs - whether that requires deep tissue manipulation to improve range of motion and chronic postural tension or restorative strokes to help recover from a workout.
Advice & Aftercare
Treatment doesn't stop when you get off the table. Before you leave, we will discuss simple, actionable advice, stretches, or movement habits you can integrate into your daily routine to prolong the benefits of the session and prevent pain from returning.
